Volleyball

Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams, typically consisting of six players each, are separated by a high net. The objective of the game is to score points by grounding the ball on the opposing team’s court or forcing the opponents to make errors. Players can hit the ball using any part of their body, but most commonly use their hands and arms. The game is played in a series of rallies, and a point is scored when the ball is successfully sent over the net and lands in the opponent’s area, or when the opposing team fails to return the ball properly. Volleyball can be played indoors on a rectangular court or outdoors on sand, known as beach volleyball. The sport emphasizes teamwork, coordination, and strategic play, with key skills including serving, passing, setting, attacking, and blocking. Volleyball is played at various levels, from recreational to professional, and is also an Olympic sport.
