Geography

Geography is the study of the Earth’s landscapes, environments, and the relationships between people and their environments. It involves the examination of places and the spatial relationships among them. Geography can be divided into two main branches: physical geography, which focuses on the natural features of the Earth, such as landforms, climates, ecosystems, and the processes that shape them; and human geography, which explores the impact of human activity on the environment, including urban development, culture, economy, and social structures. Additionally, geography employs various tools and technologies, such as cartography (the creation of maps), geographic information systems (GIS), and spatial analysis, to analyze and represent geographical data. The field provides insights into how natural phenomena and human actions interact, influencing the planet and shaping societies across different scales, from local to global.
