Economics

Economics is the social science that studies the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services. It analyzes how individuals, businesses, governments, and societies make choices about allocating scarce resources to satisfy their needs and wants. Economics is often divided into two main branches: microeconomics, which focuses on the behavior of individual agents, such as consumers and firms, and macroeconomics, which deals with aggregate economic variables such as national income, inflation, and unemployment. The field encompasses various theories, models, and concepts that seek to explain how economies function, including market structures, the role of incentives, the impact of policies, and the underlying motivations of economic actors. Economics also examines issues such as trade, economic growth, and the effects of government intervention in markets.
